Sudden – Oliver Strange

Dear readers,

I have loved and adored this fictitious series of western novel originally written by Oliver Strange and then carried on by Frederick H. Christian after his death.  So, here are the complete series of Oliver Strange’s work (as far as I am aware barring a few other titles such as Sudden At Bay, Sudden Apache Fighter, Death or Alive etc., which are the works of Frederick H. Christian).
This site is meant for all those who knew and love this witty and humorous, gritty, drawling, daring, extremely clever yet vengeful character called Jim (James Green or Jim Severn) “whose lightning display with the six-gun earned him the enviable but unwanted reputation as one of the most famous gunman in the history of the Wild West as ‘Sudden’. I hope there are other ‘Sudden’ fans out there who are willing to once again be lost in the vengeful yet delightful world of Sudden.
The dialogues are simply delightful, full of humorous and witty repartees and the vivid descriptions can give you a mental picture of the landscape of those times as well as the colourful characters that traversed in it. Though most of the stories follow a somewhat similar pattern the build up of the story is simply wonderful! In my opinion though they are your typical western/cowboy stories they in fact read like a typical detective novel. Read on and find out for yourself!
